Kutoa Advocates Program
Where Cleveland’s Young Leaders Create Global Change.
The Kutoa Advocate Program is a selective 6-month leadership opportunity for high school students across Cleveland. Advocates represent Kutoa in their schools, neighborhoods, and online communities — helping spread awareness, lead outreach efforts, and instill hope in every hand.
Kutoa Advocates are the local face of our global mission. As a student leader, you'll represent Kutoa in your school and community by raising awareness, sharing our story, and inspiring others to care. Advocates help plan and lead small outreach efforts, such as school campaigns, donation drives, or creative service ideas. You’ll also take part in monthly meetings (some online, some in person) where you’ll connect with other advocates, grow as a leader, and contribute ideas to help Kutoa grow.
This is more than a title — it’s a commitment to lead with purpose, compassion, and action.

-
Each term we accept between 6 to 12 students. We limit it to no more than 2 students per high school to keep things personal and diverse.
-
Not at all. You don’t need leadership titles or past nonprofit work. We’re looking for heart, effort, and potential — not resumes.
-
You’ll attend one meeting each month (either in person or on Zoom), and be expected to take small leadership actions in your school or community throughout the term. Most students spend 1–4 hours per week on their role.

Yes! There is no cost to join the program. In fact, accepted Advocates receive a welcome kit and other opportunities throughout the term at no charge.
